Q. How long do I have to pay for my car?
A. Payment is due on Thursday by noon. Payment may be made in cash or bank certified check.

Q. Do you take credit or debit cards?
A. No. Only cash and bank certified checks are accepted

Q. What happens if my car doesn’t pass inspection?
A. If your car fails inspection upon purchase, your money will be refunded to you in the form of a check.

Q. Do you mail the title to me when it comes in?
A. We only mail titles with payment of a $10.00 fee for priority mail. Titles may be picked up in our office
during regular business hours.

Q. Do you issue license plates?
A. We do not issue plates. Plates are only issued at the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles
office, located approximately two miles from our office.

Q. What time do my vehicles have to be at the auction for the Wednesday sale?
A. Private customers by 4:00 p.m. — Dealers by 6:00 p.m.

Q. What time do the lanes start?
A.   R lane starts at 6:00 p.m.
      F lane starts at 6:15 p.m.
      B Lane starts at 6:30 p.m.
      A lane starts at 6:45 p.m.

Tips

How can a private citizen compete with an auto dealer who bids and buys here every week?
It’s easy and can save you a lot of money. Remember, cars are commodities to dealers, not prized possessions. If you see a car, truck or other vehicle you really like, just be ready to pay a reasonable price for it. Most dealers will give up and move on long before you do. What’s more, you’ll probably still pay less than a dealer’s price on a lot.

If You’re Concerned:
Are you concerned that someone off the street will come in just to run up bids? So are we. That’s why we require a $500 refundable deposit to participate.

We’re also concerned about your security. That’s why every transaction at USLAA is video taped. It’s also why a uniformed Sheriff's deputy is always on duty.
